The City of San Bernardino is in the process of creating a Sustainability Master Plan (SMP). A SMP is comprised of polices and measures that, when implemented, will enable the City to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions both from City operations and within the community at large. Over the next few months, there will be numerous opportunities to participate in the planning process and to let the City know how it should best address climate change and improve sustainability across the City. Please visit this website often for project updates and event announcements.
This project is being funded through the City’s American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Energy Efficiency Conservation Block Grant (EECBG). The SMP will build on the Energy Efficiency Conservation Strategy which will be investing stimulus dollars in a range of energy efficiency projects for municipal operations.
